Thanks/Apologies/Hello

Dear Fans and Friends,

It is with some regret that we announce the departure of guitarist Jack Mackrill due to personal and musical differences. This was a hard decision made by the remaining four members, after a deep discussion following the most recent tour. We have no bad words to say about Jack, who has served the band memorably and solidly for just under 5 years, taking on a lot of the admin, networking and tour managing side of things as well as guitar duties and first and foremost we would like to thank him for all of this.

Sometimes in life we all have to make difficult decisions – and don’t let anybody try and tell you that this was an easy one to make. Far from it. However, we did feel that the 4th lineup had run its course, and the last thing that we wanted to do was to let things carry on as they were – and let things turn sour before acting upon it.  We also came to realise that FN as a 5-piece has never quite been the dream team that the core founding members have had in mind since day one. We did not spend any time discussing possible replacements for Jack as the idea of continuing as a 4-piece immediately looked feasible and exciting.

A lot of people will say “it won’t be the same without him”, and this is certainly undeniably true. It is the end of an era of FN, but it is also the start of an exciting new one, and we hope that you will join us on it, as well as following Jack on his future endeavours also.  We do sincerely wish him all the best in whatever he pursues and thank him for 5 awesome years. Thanks brother. x

Stay tuned and we look forward to updating you with the exciting developments to come in the near future.

Peace out.

FN x

ps this has also unfortunately meant the cancellation of the Ivy show in Sheerness next month. Apologies for this, and hopefully there will be a reschedule later in the year.
